We'll be honest: we debated whether to apply for this award.
MJD is small. Really small compared to many firms in the accounting and compliance space. But when we reviewed the application for Accounting Today's 2026 Best Firms for Technology, the questions got our attention.
They weren't just about which tools we use or how much software we buy. They were about how technology supports better work, improves the client experience, protects data, and helps firms operate with more clarity and efficiency.
That's exactly how we think about technology at MJD.
So, we applied. And we're excited to share that we were named one of Accounting Today's 2026 Best Firms for Technology.
Accounting Today recognized this year's firms not for chasing the latest tools, but for taking measured, practical approaches to improving how they work and how they serve clients. For us, that’s been the strategy from day one. Our CEO, Mike DeKock, personally designed and built our internal tech stack, a fully integrated suite where no part of the system is siloed, and the vast majority of our workflows are automated. We didn't add technology to the firm. We built the firm around it.
That matters because technology is not the point. Better work is the point. A better client experience is the point. A compliance process that feels less overwhelming and more valuable — for our team and our clients — is the point.
We're proud of this recognition and grateful to Accounting Today, our team, and our clients and partners who continue to push us to find better ways to work.
