CPA firms that perform accounting and auditing work are required to go through peer review on a regular basis. Every three years, an independent reviewer takes a close look at the firm’s quality management system and a sample of its work to make sure professional standards are being met.
MJD recently completed our latest peer review and received a Pass rating, the highest rating available in the AICPA Peer Review Program.
Peer review is essentially a quality check on the quality checks. It looks at how a firm manages quality across its practice and whether engagements are being performed the way they should be. It’s a rigorous process, and an important one. For our clients, it provides another level of confidence that the work behind their reports is thoughtful, consistent, and aligned with professional standards.
So while “Pass” may sound a little understated, in this case, it’s exactly what you want to see.
We’re proud of the result and even prouder of the team and work behind it.

How do the value creation principles of subjective value, entrepreneurship and creativity apply in a highly technical rules-based environment like SOC Compliance audits. These are objective validations of data security measures based on customer-defined criteria similar to traditional financial audits but more specific and subjective.
